Walt Sigmund is the current owner and president of
Sigmund Technology Group, which provides forensic
computer examination, technology support and data recovery
services to a diverse group of businesses in Chicago and surrounding metro areas.
He holds EnCE
and CCE
computer forensic certifications. He has
successfully completed computer forensic training
from CFTCO,
which is owned and operated by one of the nation's
leading computer forensic experts.
He has performed forensic computer examinations
involving stolen company assets, employee misuse
of computers, system security breaches, financial
discovery and child exploitation.
Many projects over the course of these years
involved client data recovery. From deleted file
and complete hard drive recovery to repairing
corrupt partition tables and boot sectors.
He has over 15 years of experience as a technology
consultant working on a large variety of name
brand and private label workstations, servers,
laptops, hubs, routers and pc peripherals in
multi-protocol and multi-operating system
environments.
He has assembled and configured dozens of custom
Windows NT/2000/XP and Novell Netware servers from
the ground up, as well as hundreds of private
label computer workstations.
He's designed and installed dozens of LAN/WAN/VPN
systems incorporating in-house messaging and email
solutions based on Microsoft/Novell
platforms.
He has over 5 years of experience
designing/coding/testing business applications in
COBOL, MS Access, BASIC, C, RPG and Assembler.
He has earned an Associate in Applied Science
Degree in Computer Information Systems Technology
and holds two Certificates in Data Processing.
