| | | hi i bought Dell Vostro Max config | | hi i paid dell for a vostro with 2 GB DDR 2, 160 GB HDD, nvidia 8600 M GT 256MB, 15" wide 1440x900 res Truelife, Web Cam integrated, 9-Cell battery, Cable Lock, laptop case, DVD Burner . And its coming With Windows Vista Home basic at a Total of 54550 RS. Shipment is on progress and probably i will get it on 2nd of next month. Any body experienced this Notebooks Series?? | I have decided to buy a new laptop of Dell. Would you please tell me difference | | I have decided to buy a new laptop of Dell. Would you please tell me the difference between Dell vostro and inspiron series.
I want to buy one. But when I go through the Dell website. But I came to know two series of Dell laptop. One is Vostro and second is Inspiron. Almost same configuration but prices vary for them. So how and why should I select a series even when the configuration is same.

| | What would be your new laptop? | | Actually since a month I am planning to buy a new laptop but such time never came when I went to shop and bought new laptop. I am also bit confused about laptops available in market. There is also some mystery regarding windows 7 arrival over new laptops.I am currently using IBM's laptop R51 series and it went through so much repair in last 3-4 years that I do not have faith over IBM (now known as LENOVO). I checked DELL Vostro models but I have doubt regarding its keyboard as it is not enough tough to withstand my rough behaviour. I like its configuration which is 3 GB RAM,core 2 duo, 320 GB HDD etc. I also do not have faith in DELL systems as my room partner get lot of trouble with it in just few months. My friends had already asked me to avoid HP or HCl laptops as their performance is poor and their service is too low.Now, I am looking at SONY, ACER, TOSHIBA and MAC. My tragedy is, I like sony very much but it is too costly for me to buy. I also like Mac but again it is too costly. I like designs of Toshiba and Acer AND none of my friends have it. So, I do not have any feedback regarding Acer and Toshiba laptops.

| Laptop battery lasts for 9 hours! | | Everyone who uses laptop has almost the same complain -the battery backup quality is too poor. Battery backup time in laptop is very important when you are out for a visit or you are on a personal tour where there is no electricity. But in most cases, battery life exhausts very quickly.But one of my friends has bought a Dell Vostro 1220 laptop. Do you know why I am singing on behalf of this laptop? This model of Dell has such a battery backup capacity that you may think it will never exhaust! Yes, you are right,this brand can give you service at least for 9 hours at a stretch!I was astonished to see this battery magic. I really envy my friend and his laptop![em]rolleyes[/em] | |
| | So what is your Computer? | | I love my laptop!! I have a Dell Vostro laptop. I have had it for about 8 months. I am getting it on the monthly rental plan from a place called Home Express. It cost me 99 dollars a month for 12 months. I only have 5 more months and it is all mine!! It has Microsoft Vista. Boy I hated that at first, but with time I got usto using it and there are some good things about rental. If anything has gone wrong they have fixed it right away. I have a 1 year warranty with Dell after I get done paying for it and it has 80Gb of hard-drive. I have done all kinds of things with this I could never have done with a desktop. I am sick alot so I download alot of movies and music and I have it when I am in the hospital. So what kind do you have? | |
| | Help!! my Notebook Have Something Wrong!! | | Yesterday night, i open my notebook. When the log on screen appear, it turn into a blue screen. I reset it again and try to open it again. the blue screen appear again. I think its some kind of virus. then, i format my notebook. but, when the format come to 80%-90% finish, it shutdown and reset by itself. Now i don't know what to do. i have format it all over the night but it still not success.Now i cannot open my notebook because it don't have windows unless the format process successful. what should i do? this month i have lag of money. If i went to the shop or repair the notebook at the center, i think they will charge me a high price. For information, my notebook is DELL vostro 1400. | |
