| HP Printers and Refille ink cartridges - question . | | I have HP printer Deskjet 940c. I just took the "leap" and did my first refill of an ink cartridge. I don't use it to much so buying new was not to much a problem, but it is time to do more saving and eco friendly and all, so I gave it a shot. I refilled the color anda the black and installed them, did the page align thing and all, but on the "Tool Box" option where is shows Ink Estimation (for full or how empty) it still shows how it was when I took the carts out - 40% full on color and 0% full on black. I was expecting to see 100% of both. I called the store that did the refills and they say my printer could be set up to not recognize the status of refilled carts. Anyone ever hear of this before? IT is such a major option and with so many doing refills, how does everyone know they are getting low? Is there a way to change a setting on the printer to accomodate refills? I emailed HP about it, who knows if or when I'll get a response so I come to the pros....MyLot pros!Any suggestions? | |

| New HP Printer | | After having a lot of bad things happen with our Dell printer and getting terrible customer service we had to go out looking for a new printer! After the terrible service we got with Dell we decided to go with a new brand! We got a HP! It has the normal printing functions, it also has a fax, scanner, and copier! The ink is also about $30 cheaper then the ink we had to buy with the Dell printer! Have you had any experiences with a Dell or HP printer? If so how was it? Can not wait to see the responses! Happy Mylotting! | |
| | PHOTOGRAPHY...an ART or NOT? | | i am into amateur photography and i am so much into it as of one my minor hobbies..sometimes, i could take good pictures sometimes i don't..i dwell into photography especially when i'm travelling..i guess one of my fave subjects is landscape photography..before my mindset was like, it's an art. but after having attended photography 101 which is like you're taught the basics, i have come to think of it as more of a skill because the object produced could be somehow changed not just in the manner you take the picture but after putting in a PC for editing purposes! so i think this is already so technical and more of something you really have to learn..i'm not saying that it's only in this aspect that photography is not really art i just don't think it's pure natural art unlike painting. or maybe we just have to classify this under a different type of art.tell me your thoughts on this=) | |
| | over-riding the 'align cartridge' message | | Help! I have changed the ink cartridges on my officejet g55 printer. It is telling me that the cartridges are not aligned- I had this problem last time, and found instructions on the internet to over-ride this message. I have since lost these, and the printer will not print from computer while this message exists (it will photocopy). If anyone knows how to over-ride this message, pls let me know. Thx | |

| Something to think about | | I got this in an email...A car company can move it's factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market. A toy company can out source to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market. A shoe company can produce its shoes in Southeast Asia and claim it's a free market A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market. We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico . We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh . We can purchase almost anything we want from 20 different countries.BUT, heaven help the senior citizens who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a Canadian or Mexican pharmacy. That's called un-American and illegal and our politicians want to stop it! And you think the pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby? Think again! What do you think? I'm remembering the main concern was over the quality of the drug and getting exactly what you need...that the other countries' quality control might not be up to our standards and the drugs might not be as safe? Who knows!
