Discuss the computer stuff you need to stay connected. | Help me to choose my next pc,desk or notebook? | | My last pc is a IBM notebook pc,its type is T21.After my using 8 years,it get tired and retired last month.The experience of using T21 is very good,and I now really need to buy a new pc to meet the need of my daily work and life.I have one problem now,should I choose desk pc or notebook pc? As we know that the desk pc can provide more widder view zoom and other convenieces,but it is also more hardly to be body carrying than the notebook pc.What are your opinon? | | | It Looks VERY STRANGE...having all that space when before.... | | There was my desktop computer and the older big monitor, not a flat one. All of that space...free now looks odd but good.
My brother-in-law has an iMac and his is giving him problems. I told my husband to take my desk top over and let him use it until his gets fixed.
My brother-in-law is homebound and needs his link to the outside world. It also keeps him in on the know with family by reading the bloggs and websites we are on.
I know what it's like to be without the one and only thing you have that keeps you sane, our computers.
I'm more than glad to let him use mine as long as he needs it.
Now I have all of this empty space. I think I'll leave it this way. Just straighten up a bit and leave it be.
How about you....Do you have new found space? Something has been moved and you find more space than before.

| | how tidy is your desk | | I have just been having a look at my desk and i am ashamed...LOL...i generally tidy it say a few days a week, but of late i haven't touched it until now, i was shocked to see how much clutter has gathered in the past 3 days, so do you clean your desk on a daily basis or like me do you leave it till there's no more room,[em]blush[/em] i have just given it a clean and now i can actually fit my coffee mug on it,[em]happy[/em] so do you have a clean desk or is there no room for anything? | |
| | my boxer dog Buddy | | i sent this discussion before, but i did not do it right with adding his photo. i am trying this again, sorry to all. Hopefully this time i hope i do it right. Once again Santa and my beloved boxer Buddy. His last christmas with me. He had to be put to rest due to kidney failure, he was only 3 years old. He is missed so much, When he passed he took a piece of me with him. Buddy was my best pal. I felt if i only knew his kidneys were failing when he was a little puppy, i wonder if i could have prevented his passing. I did have him to a vet, he did have a leaking problem, which the vet did tests and nothing showed. well i am taking it due to his leaking it was a sign of his kidneys, he went so quick in time when his body organs could not take it. It was one day he was great, then next he went down hill so fast. I took him to a vet again, and his organs were shutting down so fast, there was no hope for him, his organs were only 5 percent wroking. I was in shock, hearing the blood work results. I had to make the decission of putting him to rest, or taking him home to pass. He only had at the most 2 more days to live. | | Cleaning With The Americans | | Ok your all probably wondering what this is,well every week day at 9am EST (american time ) 2pm GMT uk for 2 hours,a few of us get together ( i only join in some days) at grandmas country cottage(forum) for daily cleaning hehe.
Now what happens is we start of in the forum for a 15 min chat,you know just about general stuff. Then admin will say ok first cleaning task is " hot spot " which is pick a part of your house that you have been putting of cleaning,mine has been things like my pc desk (thats a mess lol ).We do this for 15 mins,then its back to chat for 15mins again
Next is another clean,like admin will say ok clean your bathrooms,change the towels & put in a new toilet roll.
Back to chat again,where we praise each for the tasks we have done. Next task/clean could be clean out the fridge.
Wow now what do you all think of this?,ive found it really helpfull,ive done things that i would never have managed on my own,of course i would have done them eventually but i just needed that little push lol.
By the end of the week,if we go to chat/clean every day,our housework is done & we have had a little fun too,beats doing it on your own.

| | Lucid Dreaming - The ability to control your dreams. | | A lucid dream is where the person is aware that they are dreaming while it is in progress. People often have conscious control over their dream once they have realised they are dreaming. Its something stupid like 23 years of our lifes is spent sleeping. Well if you learn to lucid dream you can turn them years into something alot more exciting. Often people start flying or turn themselfs into animal. Its an amazing experience as you can actualy feel your body because you are conscious. I have done it once, I was laying in my bed listening to music that increases the chance of a lucid dream occuring when all of a sudden i was sitting at my pc desk. At first it seemed normal and i continued to look for music to listen to. I then looked down at my hands and realised something was different. I instantly woke up in amazement of having my first lucid dream. I cant explain to you all how real it feels. Search lucid dreaming on google and you will find loads of resourceful websites to help you get started. | | Some people are so DUMB! | | Lol, please don't take this the wrong way. It certainly gave me and my partner a good laugh.Yesterday, we bought a little table top charcoal grill. I've wanted one for ever, but the area we live in is known for being a little bit rough. Stealing, in particular, is an issue, and so we wanted something that we could bring indoors once it's cooled down.So, we buy the grill, and set it up, and start grilling. Whilst we were grilling, my partner brought out a chair for the plates. Now, this chair is what we used to use for the PC desk, and it's falling apart, to the extent that it wouldn't support anyone's weight. It's not even worthy of being junk.After we had dinner, we headed indoors, closed the glass door and the curtains and watched a little bit of television. Later in the evening, we had to head out, and so, I figure okay, I'll bring the grill and everything in from outside. I go outside, and there's the grill, and everything we used, such as charcoal, lighter fluid, utensils - but no chair.Some idiot had stolen the chair! With everything out there, it would have made far more sense to steal the grill and the accessories we bought to go with it, but no, they stole... | |
| | Why does my younger cat constantly follow me around? | | I have had my cat for about six months or so now, and she is constantly following me everywhere, in the bathroom, bedroom, and when I have to get up, she immediately will run up onto my pc desk where I am at (while getting up), and Just stand there, or walk back and forth. She also follows me into my bedroom, and jumps on the bed, and walks around for a few, then gets right behind me so I can not sit down. She also jumps up on my lap every single time I sit down in my chair...just for a few seconds, then jumps off...Why is she like this? Is she just looking after me or something (I have muscular Dystrophy) and I have heard that pets know when something is wrong with u...I also have a dog at my moms house that will not let anyone near me to help me up, and he also doesnt like anyone kissing me...he will gowl and bark, and jump on top of me as if he is protecting me...So is that why my cat is constantly "there" all the time? | |
